Practical campaigning to help preserve Boston

Picture
Boston Preservation Trust has always worked to preserve the best aspects of the town and surrounding villages.  Fydell House does not exist in isolation, it is intimately linked to the environment around it, both the built environment and the rural areas of the Borough.  The Trust also owns and cares for a shop in South Street next to the Guildhall, the four houses in Spain Lane next to Blackfriars Theatre and nine houses in the beautiful Georgian Spain Court off Spain Lane.  We aim to be a forum in which local people can discuss what happens in the town, learn more about local historic buildings, and campaign to improve specific areas.

We do this through:

  • Maintaining a list of historic buildings we call Boston's Architectural Treasures.
  • Running a Civic Group that is consulted on planning applications.
  • Setting up Working Groups to look at specific areas of concern.
