A perfect setting for your wedding

Fydell House is a superb Grade 1 Listed venue for your wedding or wedding reception. 

Weddings at Fydell House have a very special quality.  The 18th century elegance of the house comes alive and will make your wedding a wonderful experience everyone will remember.  Fydell House is the grandest house in Boston and an exceptionally beautiful and historic setting for your special day. 

Our weddings package includes: 


  • Use of public rooms - Hall, Green Room, American Room, Library, Common Room, Staircase, Upper Room. 
  • Use of garden (including marquee option if required). 
  • A weddings co-ordinator to help you plan and implement your special day. 
  • Use of kitchen for your catering company. 
  • Fydell House is suited for smaller intimate weddings - the Green Room can hold 35 sitting including bride and groom and two registrars or 50 with everyone standing for the ceremony (for meals the numbers only limited by the size of the marquee in the garden - up to 200 people maximum).

    Rates


    30 guests seated in the Green Room, but more are allowed afterwards to a buffet reception/marquee
     
    please note --- the registrar needs to be booked first, then the venue.
     
    WEDDING CEREMONIES
    £450 --- for a two-and-a-half hour hire which includes use of the Entrance Hall, American Room, Green Room and garden.
    (this does not include kitchen facilities).
     
    £550 --- for the same as above, but also allows wine/canapes/cake to be brought into the Entrance Hall on the day, in cold boxes.  
    This allows you to serve refreshments to your guests during the photoshoot.
    (All glasses/plates/cutlery etc. must be disposable, all waste must be removed the same day and does not include use of kitchen facilities.)
     
    Wedding ceremonies/receptions include access to the house from midday the day before for flowers, preparation etc.
     
    RECEPTION   (If arranged along with the wedding ceremony) 
    £350 --- for the use of the kitchen which includes the use of the Common Room and Library.
    (All waste to be removed by the caterer)
     
    RECEPTION ONLY (following a ceremony elsewhere) 
    £550 --- to include the same as above.
    (All waste to be removed by the caterer)
     
    MARQUEE  (hirers must check if a temporary events licence is required and also their own insurance for any marquees, bands etc.)

Conference room hire

If you would like to hire our historical house for your event, contact us.

You may need a room for a short meeting, or perhaps you the entire house for a few days of events. Whatever your needs, we can cater for you. Our rates are very reasonable.

Venue Hire Cost

Our rooms are individually priced at £10 per hour. These include the library, the American room and some of the rooms upstairs. These rooms are ideal for tutoring, meetings and dinner parties. You could even hold small team building events.

We offer a discount on long-term bookings, when hired for educational purposes.
