Spilsby Road runs northwards from the town centre and is one of the main arterial roads into and out of Boston. It is lined with substantial residences of great architectural diversity and constitutes a linear suburb that deserves to be better known and understood. The houses along this road exhibit considerable style and panache, range in date from early 19th century to modern times, and taken together represent a valuable portfolio of domestic architecture over the last 150 years.
